  3. The distress call has long since
  4. dissipated in space.  All that
  5. remains is an empty shell of a base.
  6. There are no apparent signs of trouble
  7. -- the occupants seem to have vanished.
  8.  
  9. Rumors have long since spread through-
  10. out the sector that this base held some
  11. secret that, in the right hands, could
  12. result in riches beyond belief.  Others,
  13. like you, are already enroute to this base.
  14. You may, in your scavenging, run into
  15. others attempting to benefit from the bounty
  16. of this abandoned base.  You may need to
  17. apply deadly force to expel the other
  18. fortune seekers, for you know that you
  19. are entitled to the wealth of the base, and
  20. all of the others are obviously trespassing.
